Country House Plans
Historically, country house plans originate in Britain and Ireland. These were usually large houses in the country side with more than 25 rooms and 8,000 square feet of living space. Unlike traditional English country house plans, which used to be built in any architectural style, today’s country house floor plans are typically smaller and feature very specific architectural features. For example, their roof line normally runs parallel to the main road. They either have a front porch and a back porch, or a wrap-around porch. Exteriors are usually some form of clapboard siding.
