Ranch House Plans
Also called American Ranch or California Rambler, typical ranch house plans are asymmetrical (rectangular, l-shaped or u-shaped) designs with attached 1 or 2 car garage and sliding glass doors. Usually, ranch style house plans have only one level, but a popular variation — raised ranch house plans — has two floors. Ranch home plans emphasize openness with few interior walls and efficient use of space. They use natural materials, such as oak floors, and wood or brick exterior. The only detailings are decorative shutters and porch-roof supports.
